On The Lakes

Got out to a lake this weekend and got to see the Canada Geese staking out their areas of the lake. I got some photos which I will get posted of three pair of Geese and got to watch them for a while why they were deciding who got to stay and who had to go. Also got some photos of Red Winged Blackbirds as they showed up in the cattails once again.

Got out to a lake this past weekend and saw the Canada Geese busy with nesting spots. Saw Loons flying over and could hear them squawking as they went. It seems like a Loon really needs a lot of water for there territory. If anyone knows how many acres they claim for their own let me know. I think it is quite a bit. Heard Woodpeckers this morning and a couple mystery birds. I'm sure they are common I just don't know what they were. It was a good weekend to be out and about and listening and seeing the birds.
